Silversmith Jewellery Course – Week 1

My Silversmith Jewellery Course started 2 weeks ago and as I have been away I am playing catchup with my Blog so my timeline is slightly out…

So I finally got my hands dirty after months of waiting to start my new life with Jewellery, and I LOVED it!

I got to play with blow torches, saws, metals, rollers, mallets, hammers, solder and acids.

Oh yes.

They not only let me near dangerous tools, they let me use them too!

It was great, I felt I was using my brain to learn a new skill and having a wonderful creative outlet whereby I was able to physically accomplish something to show what I had achieved.

Being a SAHM is wonderful, I am so grateful that I am able to raise my children with my values and nurture them with my love, however most days I feel as if I accomplish nothing.

Yes the children have been fed their 3 meals with snacks in between, and they have been clothed and washed, and have been played with; however it all just feels like Groundhog day and it all gets a little tedious.

Hence me wanting to do more with my days.

I want to do something where I feel as if I have achieved and have a creative outlet.

And there lies the reason for my Jewellery Business and my Blog.

The feeding & cleaning is relentless, and still the house is a mess!

Oh well I guess as long as the kids are happy I can just about put up with stickers on the dinning table…. One day I will have a nice house 😉

You wouldn’t believe how often i say that to myself …and anyone who will listen that ‘one day i will have a nice house’ lol it’s become like my mantra ! I often say i dream of owning a cream sofa…but i somehow think a few years after my children leave home (if i can ever convince them to !) that our house will then be filled with grandchildren. I need a big house with a sitting room and then a family den, the sitting room for me, the family den for the rest of them haha.
Nice to hear that someone else say’s the same thing, as they’re peeling stickers of the dinning table 🙂 x

I like the light shining on the metal, looks very dramatic :).
